The night race at Blyton was excellent, it was a great experience which I would love to experience again in the future. The floodlite track looked amazing. I had had my best days racing so far in my racing career with a 2nd in on heat and two 3rds in the other heats. Unfortunately in the A final, I was involved in a racing incident on the first corner, after a brilliant start off the line, however I managed to continue and finish the final.

On the following day, the MDA held a fun day, which was a fantastic success like last year, I was testing my BMW Mini which was good fun, I learnt more about my car and the handling. We also had a Chuckle Buggie Challenge, which gave the drivers a competition for the day, I managed to win.

Night Race Coming To Blyton

On Saturday night, the 12th June, I am racing at Blyton, in my first ever Rallycross night race. I am very excited but also quite nervous. The track will be floodlite, but the night conditions are most likely going to be harder to race in. On Sunday 13th June I will be attending the MDA Rallycross Fun Day at Blyton, last year was a great success, so this year will be even bigger and better! I am looking forward to this fun packed weekend ahead of me, as it is a great break and stress relief from my GCSE exams which I am currently in the middle of.

It was the 4th round of the MDA and BTRDA championships on sunday, it was a great day as the sun was out, and we all had a fantastic days racing at Blyton. I won the B final and finished 7th in the A final, which I was happy with. I am looking forward to the night race at Blyton next month, which has never been done, so it should be a different challenge.

Great Weekend at Lydden Hill

I had a great weekend at Lydden Hill as it was the 2nd round of the MDA and BTRDA Rallycross Championship. I finished 7th overall in the Minicross A final. The event was ran with the 1st round of the 2010 British Rallycross Championship which was held on Easter Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday, thank you to everyone at Lydden Hill for a fantastic event.

I had a great weekend at Lydden Hill competing the first round of the 2010 MDA and BTRDA Rallycross Championship, on Saturday morning I was very anxious but excited, as I hadn’t been out in my car since it had its 1300cc engine in. I had some very close races throughout the day and was at pace with the other Minicross drivers. I was happy with my overall result as I finished 6th in the A final.

It is the first round of the season this weekend, Saturday 6th March at Lydden Hill. This year I am competing in the MDA Rallycross Championship which is running with the British Rallycross Championship, it should be an excellent year with brilliant television coverage. I am very excited as I am moving up into Senior Minicross, after two years in Junior Minicross. I am slightly nervous, but I’m hoping it is going to be a great, successful weekend, full of fun!

BWRDC Awards Night

On the 20th Febuary, I was at the British Womens Racing Drivers Club 2009 award ceromony, the World Land Speed Record Holder, Wing Cmdr Andy Green, made a fantastic speech then presented the awards. I recieved the BWRDC Autocross/Rallycross Championship Half-a-Mo Trophy, and the Barbara E.F. Bird Memorial Trophy, which was donnated by my family in memory of my Gran who past away last year. I recieved this award for Junior Racing Champion. It was a great night and will look forward to many more in the future.

Great Success at Autosport Show 2010

The 2010 Autosport International Show went great this year, my car and I were on the Go Motorsport stand, which was specifically for under 17s. My car was displayed in senior minicross spec as at 16 young drivers can move up into a variety of motorsport. There was a lot of interest in girls in motorsport and rallycross, which was fantastic to represent. Hopefully there will be a lot more women and girls in motorsport along with a lot more juniors this year.
