I had a great weekend at Lydden Hill competing the first round of the 2010 MDA and BTRDA Rallycross Championship, on Saturday morning I was very anxious but excited, as I hadn’t been out in my car since it had its 1300cc engine in. I had some very close races throughout the day and was at pace with the other Minicross drivers. I was happy with my overall result as I finished 6th in the A final.

It is the first round of the season this weekend, Saturday 6th March at Lydden Hill. This year I am competing in the MDA Rallycross Championship which is running with the British Rallycross Championship, it should be an excellent year with brilliant television coverage. I am very excited as I am moving up into Senior Minicross, after two years in Junior Minicross. I am slightly nervous, but I’m hoping it is going to be a great, successful weekend, full of fun!

BWRDC Awards Night

On the 20th Febuary, I was at the British Womens Racing Drivers Club 2009 award ceromony, the World Land Speed Record Holder, Wing Cmdr Andy Green, made a fantastic speech then presented the awards. I recieved the BWRDC Autocross/Rallycross Championship Half-a-Mo Trophy, and the Barbara E.F. Bird Memorial Trophy, which was donnated by my family in memory of my Gran who past away last year. I recieved this award for Junior Racing Champion. It was a great night and will look forward to many more in the future.

Great Success at Autosport Show 2010

The 2010 Autosport International Show went great this year, my car and I were on the Go Motorsport stand, which was specifically for under 17s. My car was displayed in senior minicross spec as at 16 young drivers can move up into a variety of motorsport. There was a lot of interest in girls in motorsport and rallycross, which was fantastic to represent. Hopefully there will be a lot more women and girls in motorsport along with a lot more juniors this year.

Autosport Show 2010

It is confirmed that I will be on the Go Motorsoport stand at the Autosport Show next year. My car shall be on the stand for the full duration, however I have my exams at the same time, so I will be there for the Saturday and Sunday.

Last Round of 2009, Last Time Racing in the Junior Rallycross Class

On Saturday 31st of October I was racing at Croft for the last round of the Open Championship of the season. Although I was very ill, I still managed to finish 4th, which also meant I had gained another place overall in the championship and finally finished 4th overall in the Junior Rallycross Open Championship.
On the Sunday it was the 2009 Superprix, and I finished a respectable 3rd place. The weather was awful, as it was chucking it down with rain, so I was more than happy to finish in the top 3.

Next year I am planning to move up into Senior Rallycross, in the BTRDA Championship, as now I am old enough to compete in a bigger class.

Mallory Park is Back!

Yesterday I was racing at Mallory Park, after Rallycross had a 30 year break from the track. The circuit was fantastic, although it cut up on the new loose surface, but once the it is sorted out I think it will be great Rallycross track in the middle of the country.

I managed to win my first Rallycross trophy, achieving 2^nd place in the British championship Junior A final, which is supported by the Bill Gwynne Rallyschool. It was a excellent hassle-free weekend.

This Summer

Over the summer I have had four meeting, two meetings at Blyton followed by double header at Pembrey. We also had a Fun Day at Blyton, which was an excellent, successful day. I am currently standing 5th in the championship although there is a dispute over points scored in round 5, which could put me up into 4th place. If this is the case, I am hoping that in the last round at Croft on the 31st October I will finish high enough to be able to finish 3rd overall in the Open Junior Rallycross Championship 2009.
